In The Tea Parlor, Day 2

“So, what have you managed to uncover today?” The Halfling Wizard’s curiosity got the better of her as she sipped her Earl Grey.

“Oh, you know,” the Gnome replied, tipping the brim of her top hat. “A little of this, a little of that, a giant Kraken-shaped Airship on the outskirts of town.”

“I see the Mutineers managed to find us, then! That didn’t take long did it?”

“Not all of them just yet, but I couldn’t keep the cousins away, could I? I think Jasmynn’s Stephen followed his nose right to her alchemy shop as soon as I worked out how to display the first bar of soap!”

“It is nice to have the rest of the crew here to explore, isn’t it? Reminds me of the old days at port in Gallipolis.”

“In a way it’s even better. It’s going to take some time to gather everyone and figure out where everything goes and how to invite people in, but it’s nice to not have the physical distance limitations of the Real Realm.”

“Trying to find the bright side again?” The Halfling chuckled. “Speaking of the Real Realm, did you figure out how to transfer goods and the matter of exchange rates?”

“I did! PayPal is now working nicely, our good friend Jake and Cousin Stephen helped work out those kinks in exchange for the new Gold Currency. And Jennifer ordered one of Denise’s Lucky Trinkets that will be delivered to her Real Realm home soon. I still have quite a bit of work to do, and a few kinks to work out, and then the exploration can begin.”

“Well, tomorrow is another day, Jess.”

“That it is, Jess.”

The Gnome and the Halfling clinked their teacups and enjoyed their warm brews and the view of the newly lit lanterns of the Central Town, an island in the Outer Realm of Imagination.
